  • Contact data you import into the platform (phone numbers, names)
  • WhatsApp message content processed through our platform

  • Google Contacts data (when you choose to import via Google OAuth)
  • vCard/VCF files (when you choose to import contacts)

  • To provide and maintain the TruWA platform and its features
  • To process and display WhatsApp messages within your CRM
  • To send broadcast campaigns on your behalf
  • To generate reports and analytics for your business
  • To communicate with you about your account and updates

4. Google API Services

TruWA's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request access to Google Contacts with your explicit permission, solely for the purpose of importing contact phone numbers into your TruWA contact lists. We do not store your Google OAuth tokens beyond the session, and we do not share Google Contacts data with third parties.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on dedicated servers in the UAE region. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to data is restricted by role-based permissions within your organisation.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Supabase (database hosting and authentication)
  • WhatsApp Business API providers (message delivery)
  • Payment processors (for subscription billing)

All third-party providers are contractually bound to maintain data confidentiality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account termination, data is deleted within 30 days unless legally required to retain it. Contact import data (Google Contacts, vCard) used for a single import session is deleted immediately after processing.

9. WhatsApp Compliance

TruWA operates in compliance with WhatsApp's Business Policy and Terms of Service. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of the platform complies with applicable WhatsApp policies and local regulations regarding messaging and data privacy.
